Mimmi Bakes all started when Mimmi began baking with her grandkids during the long, hot, and sometimes boring summers. At the time, her grandchildren ranged in age from 1 1/2 to 5 years old. Instead of having rules to follow, Mimmi decided to make it about learning, exploring, experimenting, empowering, working together, and having fun, LOTS of fun. Not for Mimmi, but for the kids! As a result, there were lots of messes, but more importantly, memories the kids have. Today the children regularly ask to bake with Mimmi.

Unscripted, hilarious moments came from these baking dates. An egg on the floor. Flour in the face. An idea was born. Soon Mimmi was writing songs from silly things the kids did and said. “Yum Yum”, one of Mimmi’s favorite songs, was written after a baking date where a granddaughter unwrapped a chocolate/peanut butter candy, brought it to her nose for a smell, then exclaimed, “Yum! It’s so tasty!” Not that she tasted it with her nose though... 

Mimmi Bakes combines entertainment, education, inspiration, and empowerment brought to life through all original video, song, and animation, inspired from simple moments with her grandchildren, and an unending imagination. All for kids. All for parents.
